WYNTON MARSALIS GUESTS ON WVRU

Maynard Powell interviews special guest Wynton Marsalis in next week's edition of "Jazz Notes," on WVRU, 89.9 FM, Radford University's public radio station. The program will air Friday at 7 p.m.

Marsalis, who performed at Radford last month, will reveal his personal philosophies about his music and jazz in general. Included in the hour-long program will be a rare live album from Marsalis' stint with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers.

"Potpourri" airs weekdays at 4 p.m., and includes a blend of rock, jazz, blues, country and classical music.

The British Broadcasting Corp.'s "Science Magazine" airs Wednesday at 1 p.m. featuring the latest developments in the scientific world.
