LORD BOTETOURT STAR SIGNS GRANT

Ashley Moore, a 6-foot forward from Fincastle, has signed a letter of intent to play women's basketball at Campbell University, Camels coach Wanda Watkins said Friday.

Moore, a senior at Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville, averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers, who went 23-3 this season and lost in the first round of the Group AA state tournament.

Moore scored more than 1,000 points in her career at Lord Botetourt and was an All-Group AA selection as a junior. - Staff report
