OBIT ROWSEY, ALLIE CLAUDE

ROWSEY, Allie Claude, 91, of Farmville, died Wednesday, November 24, 1993, in Southside Community Hospital. He was born in Amherst County on January 5, 1902, the son of the late Charles and Lucy Duff Rowsey. He is survived by his wife, Vernie Rogers Rowsey, Farmville; one daughter, Carolyn R. Dickerson, Farmville; three sons, Wiley C. Rowsey, Midlothian, Donald R. Rowsey and Jerry W. Rowsey, both of Farmville; one brother, Earl F. Rowsey, Buena Vista; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 1993 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
