CHRISTOPHER-HARPER
Heidi Lynne Harper and John Marsh Christopher were married November 27,
1993, in Christ Episcopal Church,Blacksburg, with the Reverend Larry Handwerk,
the bride's uncle, officiating. The reception was held at the University Club.
The maids of honor were Rebecca Leigh Harper and Catherine Elizabeth Harper,
sisters of the bride. The bridesmaids were Marisa Davis Harper, sister-in-law
of the bride; Sara McElfresh Rose, Sarah Wones Tomp, and Dee Skaar, friends of
the bride. The best man was James Edwin Christopher, brother of the groom. The
ushers were Robert Edward Christopher, III, and William Henry Christopher,
brothers of the groom; Thomas Wilson Harper, brother of the bride; Christopher
Mark Chenard and Michael John Weber, both friends of the groom. Ringbearer was
William James Christopher, nephew of the groom. The guestbook was attended by
Jill Gurganus, friend of the bride and groom. The wedding coordinator was
Whitney Jarrett, friend of the bride and groom. The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Wilson George Harper of Blacksburg. She is a graduate of
Blacksburg High School, Virginia Western College and Radford University. She
is employed by Virginia Western College and Wilson A. Harper, D.D.S. The groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Christopher, Jr. of Blacksburg. He is
a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University. He is employed by KPMG Peat Marwick. The newlyweds will live
in Roanoke, after the wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico.
