HACKLER-BUCKLEY

On Saturday, October 30, 1993, Miss Victoria B. Buckley, daughter of Colonel and Mrs. Paul R. Buckley, of Baltimore, Md., and Mr. Mark K. Hackler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon G. Hackler, of Roanoke, were united in marriage at The Church of The Redeemer in Baltimore. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend James Crowder. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of silk taffeta appliqued with Alencon lace and embroidered with pearls and crystal beads. The gown, which had been worn by the bride's mother, featured a chapel train and a long veil of silk illusion fastened with a band of pearls. Her bouquet was a cascade of cream and blush roses, stephanotis and miniature orchids.

Mr. and Mrs. Hackler, Sr., gave a rehearsal dinner in honor of the couple the night before the wedding at the Johns Hopkins University Club.

Maid of honor was Jane L. Hunter, and bridesmaids were Dee Buckley, Katy Berthelson, Elizabeth Bowles Lake, of Roanoke, Beth Mosner, Jolie Carter, and Ashley Burford. They wore long gowns of Hunter green velvet and carried bouquets of orchids, roses, Fuji mums and ivy. Jennifer Sult, of Springfield, Va., read a passage from St. Paul's letters to the Corinthians during the service. Eldon Hackler was best man for his son, and groomsmen were Eric Crawford, Kenneth Crawford, Sherrill Stockton, Steve Wasky, and Ross Hunt.

A reception was held immediately following the wedding ceremony in Baltimore, after which the bride and groom departed for a honeymoon trip to Barbados. They are both 1990 graduates of Randolph-Macon College, and they will live in Wilmington, N.C.
