Mr. and Mrs. Hackler, Sr., gave a rehearsal dinner in honor of the couple the night before the wedding at the Johns Hopkins University Club.
Maid of honor was Jane L. Hunter, and bridesmaids were Dee Buckley, Katy Berthelson, Elizabeth Bowles Lake, of Roanoke, Beth Mosner, Jolie Carter, and Ashley Burford. They wore long gowns of Hunter green velvet and carried bouquets of orchids, roses, Fuji mums and ivy. Jennifer Sult, of Springfield, Va., read a passage from St. Paul's letters to the Corinthians during the service. Eldon Hackler was best man for his son, and groomsmen were Eric Crawford, Kenneth Crawford, Sherrill Stockton, Steve Wasky, and Ross Hunt.
A reception was held immediately following the wedding ceremony in Baltimore, after which the bride and groom departed for a honeymoon trip to Barbados. They are both 1990 graduates of Randolph-Macon College, and they will live in Wilmington, N.C.
