TALBOTS CLOTHING STORE ROBBED BY GUNMAN

Talbots - a recently opened women's clothing store on Starkey Road - was robbed at gunpoint Saturday.

Roanoke County police Detective T.D. Lisk said a man entered the store just before 6 p.m., brandished a long-barreled revolver and took an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then fled on foot, Lisk said.

No customers were in the store at the time of the robbery and no store employees were injured, police said.
