FIRE AT SALEM GOODWILL TURNS OUT TO BE TRASH

When the Salem Fire Department received an urgent call reporting flames throughout the Goodwill building on East Main Street, they expected to battle a major fire.

What they found was a Dumpster with burning trash inside.

The Dumpster was not close enough to threaten the building, firefighters said. No damage was reported to building or contents.
