OBIT SMITH, RUBY ELLEN

SMITH, Ruby Ellen, 85, of Salem, died Sunday, November 28, 1993, in her home. She was a native of Montgomery County and had resided in Salem since 1940. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duvall Beckley Smith ("Buck"). Survivors include a sister, Gladys S. Weaver of Elliston; a brother, Berman St. Clair of Cutshoot, Texas; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. John M. Oakey & Son in Salem is in charge of the arrangements.
