OBIT FITZGERALD, CLAUDE HARRISON

FITZGERALD, Claude Harrison, 80, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, November 28, 1993, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Extended Care. Born October 24, 1913, in Nelson Co., he was the son of the late Seaton H. and Mary F. Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald was a Deacon in the Glasgow Baptist Church and Treasurer of his Sunday school class. He was retired from Bonded Fibers. He was preceded in death by a son, Claude Elvin Fitzgerald. Surviving are his wife, Macey Fitzgerald; three sons, Lyle H. Fitzgerald, Buena Vista, Robert C. Fitzgerald, Buena Vista, Carlton Wade Fitzgerald, Ft. Hood, Texas; one daughter, Gilda F. Allen, Lexington; one sister, Nellie F. Bartley, Crozet; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Glasgow Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
