OBIT GERALD, BERTHA
GERALD, Bertha, 79, of Christiansburg, died Monday, November 29, 1993, at
her home. She was the widow of Garnett S. Gerald, and was also preceded in
death by two sons, Gordon H. Gerald and Shirley Jackson Gerald. Surviving are
three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Adkins, Mrs. Kelly (Virginia) Walters,
Jane G. Akers, all of Christiansburg; 15 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Tony Brescia, with
burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7
until 9 Tuesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
