FOR THE RECORD
In Tuesday's paper, The Associated Press reported incorrectly that attorney
John Roberts represented two coal companies seeking payment of $52 million in
fines by the United Mine Workers Union. The companies, Clinchfield Coal and
Sea "B" Mining Co., were no longer parties to the case. Roberts actually
represented a Virginia court official charged with collecting the fines from a
1989 strike.
