OBIT--BOOZE, ALMA AUSTIN

BOOZE, Alma Austin, 91, of Blue Ridge, and formerly of Eagle Rock, passed away Monday, November 29, 1993, after a lengthy illness. She was a Charter Member of the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, was a well-loved school teacher for Botetourt County for many years, and was also the leader and active member of many clubs and civic organizations as long as she was able. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Dallas Booze. She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Margaret and Cortis Linthicum of Eagle Rock, Lucille Biggs of Covington, Janet and Ed Craig of Blue Ridge, Billie and Joseph Liptrap of Daleville; one son and daughter-in-law, J. D. Jr. and Wanda Booze of Clifton Forge; one sister, Miss Elsie Austin of Fincastle; eleven grandchildren, Cheryle Posey, Alma Enstminger, Greg & Tim Booze, David and Mark Liptrap, Susan Miller, Kim Truett, Jimmie and Jeffrey Craig and Doug Russell; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 1993, 11 a.m. at the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wesley Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Eagle Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home, Troutville. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
