OBIT HONAKER, HENRY THOMAS

HONAKER, Henry Thomas, ("Tommy"), 78, of Route One, Fries, died Monday, November 29, 1993, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Golda Porter Honaker, Fries; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa H. and Larry Patton, Smith Mountain Lake, Annabelle and Ruben Robinson, Woodlawn, Vicky Carico, Fries; sons and daughters-in-law, John T. and Linda Honaker, Richmond, James D. and Dodi Honaker, Fries; a sister and brother-in-law, Clarabell and Harold Looney, Bluefield, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Honaker was a member of the Masons and a Masonic Service will be held at the gravesite by Oldtown Masonic Lodge #68. He was also a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church of Wytheville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, Md. 20852. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 1993, 2 p.m., in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with Rev. Laurie A. McAlpine and the Rev. David Olinger officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax.
