REPORTED EARNINGS

Brendle's Brendle's Inc. on Wednesday reported comparable-store sales for the third quarter of fiscal 1994 up 4.9 percent from the year-earlier quarter. Net sales for the thirty stores opened during the quarter were $28.7 million, compared with $27.3 million.

For the nine months, comparable-store net sales were $84.3 million versus $85.4 million in the year-earlier period.

For the quarter and nine months ended Oct. 30, Brendle's reported a net loss of $10.1 million, or $1.22 per share, and $20.2 million, or $2.43 per share, respectively. The net loss for the quarter included reorganization costs of $6.7 million; the nine months net loss included $10.4 million of reorganization costs.
