Proceeds will benefit the AAUW Educational Foundation, whose contributions advance education, research and self development for women. The foundation grants fellowships totaling more than $2 million each year. The foundation also awards fellowships to teachers who demonstrate a commitment to educational equity for girls.
Last year, the Blacksburg Branch donated $1,000 to this scholarship program.
