METEOR SHOWER VIEWING DEC. 11

An outdoor viewing of the Geminid meteor shower will take place on Dec. 11, 8-9:30 p.m. Cost is $7, and participants should each bring a lawn chair and warm blanket.

Lunar lore and myths surrounding insanity caused by the moon are topics of discussion which will be followed by a telescopic viewing of the moon on Dec. 17, 7-8:30 p.m.

Both programs are sponsored by the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department and the New River Valley Astronomy Awareness Project. Preregistration is required. For more information, call Jeff Pease at 382-6980.
