NORTH CROSS WINS IN OT

Emily Cook had 17 points and 16 rebounds as North Cross defeated Holy Cross 47-43 in overtime in a Blue Ridge Conference high school girls' basketball game Thursday night.

North Cross (1-0) led by 10 points at halftime, but Holy Cross outscored the Raiders 16-7 in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.

Michelle Miller led Holy Cross (1-1) with a game-high 21 points.

Tiffany Hogan scored 19 points and Ashley Rakes grabbed 10 rebounds as the host Eagles rolled over the Chiefs in a Blue Ridge Conference game.

The Eagles (1-0) held all Carlisle scorers in single digits. The Chiefs are 0-2.
