OBIT-WOODS, GLORIA TYREE

WOODS, Gloria Tyree, 55, of Route 3, Rocky Mount, Va., died Tuesday, November 30, 1993 at her home. She was born on January 4, 1938, in Rocky Mount, Va., the daughter of Walter S. Tyree and the late Nannie Lynch Tyree of Rocky Mount, Va. Mrs. Woods was a retired school teacher of 30 years with the Franklin County School System and a member of Morningside Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William C. Woods of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven C. and Debra Woods of Aiken, S.C.; one brother, Melvin L. Tyree Sr. of Rocky Mount, Va; one grandson, Matthew C. Woods of Aiken, S.C.; two special nieces, Bridgette T. Goins of Schweinfurt, Germany and Anita T. Adkins of Rocky Mount, Va.; two special friends, Mary S. Helm of Rocky Mount, Va. and Florella H. Johnson of Rocky Mount, Va. Funeral services will be held Friday 1 p.m., December 3, 1993, at the Morningside Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, Va. Interment will be in the Franklin Memorial Park, Rocky Mount, Va. The family will receive friends at Morningside Missionary Baptist Church Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. December 2, 1993.
