JURY UNMOVED BY PARKED-DUI STORY

Question: Can someone be convicted of drunken driving if all he does is rev the engine of a tractor-trailer, blow the horn and flash the headlights?

Answer: Yes, according to the Roanoke jury that found Eddie W. Dooley guilty Thursday and set his sentence at 12 months in jail.

No one saw Dooley's tractor-trailer cab leave the back yard of a Roanoke home July 24 - or even move an inch - but that didn't keep the jury from recommending the maximum punishment for his second DUI conviction.
