Today, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Roanoke Times & World-News columnist Monty Leitch will autograph copies of her book, "Baptized into One Body: The History of the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church."
On Sunday, the Rev. Ellison Smyth and the Rev. Al Payne will sign their books from 2 to 3 p.m. Smyth authored "Retrospect: or Growing Up in Blacksburg and Other Tales through a Long Life," which has been on the best-seller list at Books, Strings & Things for several weeks.
Payne, formerly the Virginia Tech chaplain, wrote "A Community at Prayer," a compilation of his prayers delivered at community gatherings over three decades.
The appearances were arranged by Pocahontas Press, a Blacksburg specialty publishing house.
The Gallery of Local Artists, a project of the New River Arts Council, is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sundays.
