The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen McArthur Cox of Christiansburg. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Alderman of Hillsville.
Angel Cox of Charlotte, North Carolina, served as maid of honor for her sister. Tommy Alderman, father of the groom, was best man. Bridesmaids were April Cox, sister of the bride, Sheri Elliott and Amy Howell, friends of the bride. Groomsmen were Travis Alderman, brother of the groom, Scott Flippin and Greg Shank, friends of the groom. Paige Ellen Harris, friend of the bride, was flower girl. William Todd Vass, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer. The guest book was attended by Lisa Garrison and program presented by Amy Poff, both friends of the bride. Organist Carter Edmondson accompanied soloist Tara Roseberry and Richard Law.
Mrs. Mava Vass, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a straight French lace and satin formal gown with beaded bodice and an appliqueed cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias accented by burgundy rosebuds and ivy.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Farmhouse Restaurant and the wedding reception was at the Best Western Radford Inn.
The bride is a recent graduate of Radford University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. She is employed by the News and Observer in Durham, North Carolina. The groom is a graduate of Radford University and Duke University and is employed at the Duke University Medical Center.
Following their wedding cruise, the couple will reside in Durham, North Carolina.
