The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Blanche C. Keister of Roanoke, and the late Coy J. Carter. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Obediah Overstreet, also of Roanoke.
In a candlelit processional, the bride was escorted by her brother, Kevin Carter. Her niece, Chastity Carter, served as the maid of honor, and Kathy Chitwood, friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Traci Osborne, Abby Hudson, Tammie Brightwell, Kim Clay, all friends of the bride; and Jana Jackson, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Ashley Brightwell, friend of the bride.
The groom's father, Obediah Overstreet, served as the best man. The ushers were Alvin Overstreet and Tim Overstreet, brothers of the groom; Steve Carter and Bobby Carter, brothers of the bride; Steve Carter, Jr. and Coy Carter, nephews of the bride; Stacy Anderson and Tim Bare, friends of the groom. Aaron Woodard, nephew of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
Jeannie VandeLinde played aselection of contemporary, religious and classical music for the ceremony, and solos were sung by Alvin Overstreet and Robert McKinney. Photography was by Barry Brooks. A reception followed the ceremony in the church's social hall.
Candy is a graduate of William Fleming High School and Virginia Western Community College. She will be employed by RPS. Mark is a graduate of William Fleming High School and Radford University. He is employed by Tweed-Hanover Corporation.
Following their wedding trip toWilliamsburg, the couple will reside in Roanoke, Va.
