RUTHERFORD, Mable J., 74, of New Castle, died Thursday, December 2, 1993,
in a Salem Hospital. She is survived by a son, Donnie L. Jones, Lynchburg; two
sons and daughters-in-law, James V. and Janie Rutherford, Salem, Earl W. Jr.
and Nancy Rutherford, Lynchburg; two sisters, Octa Nolen, Salem, Oveta Cromer,
New Castle; one granddaughter, Teresa Jones; four stepgrandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Monday, December 6,
1993, 1 p.m. at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7
to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 1993, at Boitnott Funeral Home.
