OBIT BROWN, MARGARET MAHOOD

BROWN, Margaret Mahood, 88, of Roanoke, formerly of Christiansburg, died Sunday, December 5, 1993. She was the widow of James H. Brown Jr. She was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Julia C. Mahood. She was a retired schoolteacher, where she taught in Roanoke and Montgomery Co. for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg. She is survived by one son, James B. Brown, Richmond; three daughters, Margaret Childress, Christiansburg, Jane Landers, Richmond, Julia Poling, Knoxville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Evergreen Burial Park with Rev. Douglas Kenny officiating. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 96, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Arrangements by John M.
