OBIT ARRINGTON, LOIS MOTTESHEARD

ARRINGTON, Lois Mottesheard, 68, 132 Center Street, Narrows, Va. died Sunday, December 5, 1993, in Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. She was a lifelong resident of Narrows, Va. having been born November 10, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Luther McDonald and Ollie Quesenberry Mottesheard. She was the Treasurer for the town of Narrows for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Russell Arrington on October 22, 1993, and a daughter, Brenda Conley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Narrows. She is survived by a son, David Wayne Arrington, Narrows; one brother, Luther Donald Mottesheard, Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Eunice M. Worrell, Narrows; grandson, Jerry Russell Conley, Pearisburg, Va. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows with the Rev. Ralph M. Kidd officiating. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the New River Valley Hospice, 1806 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060 or to the First United Methodist Church, Narrows, Va. 24124.
