OBIT ELKINS, TERRY LEE

ELKINS, Terry Lee, 28, of Roanoke, formerly of Coal Grove, Ohio, died Monday, December 6, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born September 23, 1965, in Ironton, Ohio. Terry was a construction worker and a 1982 graduate of Green Township High School in Scioto County, Ohio. He is survived by his stepfather, Steve Murphy, Ashland, Ky.; and his mother, Janet Thompson Murphy, Coal Grove, Ohio; two brothers, Jeffrey and Danny Elkins, both of Roanoke; maternal grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Thompson, Coal Grove, Ohio; steppaternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tennis Murphy, Ashland, Ky.; also survived by a friend, Larry Snider; two cousins, Sharon Thompson, and Billy Cook; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home, 509 South 6th Street, Ironton. His uncle, Father Larry Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Friends can call until time of service.
