BRAMMER-EMERT

Gina Denise Emert and Robert Calvin Brammer II were married December 11, 1993, in Shenandoah Baptist Church. Dr. Robert L. Alderman performed the ceremony. The matron of honor was Connie Beckner, and the maid of honor was Layla Smith, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Connie Farmer and Lori Kingsbury, cousins of the bride, Diane Swan, Melissa Bradley, and Renee Rice. Flower girl was Kortney Emert, niece of the bride. The best man was Robert C. Brammer, Sr., father of the groom. Lead groomsman was Jerry Swan, and groomsmen were Al Pollard, Jimmy Treynor, Art Whittaker, Bob Poole, and Greg Emert, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jay StClair, Bucky Preddy, and Michael Payne. Ringbearer was Taylor Kingsbury. Guestbook attendants were Sheila Severit and Wendy Stewart. Greeters were Debbie Lockhart, Lee StClair, Lisa Price and Shay Payne. The bride wore a highly captivating sheath gown featuring a wedding band collar with a keyhole illusion front. Strands of pearls & crystals dangled from the neckline. Clusters of pearls covered the bodice with an array of bugle beads accenting the front. The long satin tapered sleeve is highlighted with cutout appliques down to the pointelle cuff. The shoulders are accented with epilets which have beads & pearls featuring iridescents. Pearled appliques accent the front skirt. Diamond shape illusion back is romantically trimmed with hand beaded appliques. A grand bow sits on the detachable waterfall cathedral train. Large medallion cutout appliques highlight the train with smaller ones cascading along the sides. The bride is the daughter of Gary W. and Geraldine W. Emert. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Wheeler, Dorothy Gray, and Claudine and Raymond Karnes, of Texas, and is the great-granddaughter of Ruth Leonard. The bridegroom is the son of Robert C., Sr., and Barbara T. Brammer. The couple will live in Richmond, Va.
