MONTGOMERY CAUCUS ELECTS NEW TREASURER

A new treasurer joined the officers' ranks of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee during its caucus Saturday at the Montgomery County Courthouse.

Lee Johnston, who is on the staff of recently elected Del. Jim Shuler (D-Blacksburg), will be the committee's treasurer, said Lindsay West of Blacksburg, who was re-elected committee chairman.

Other re-elected officers include: Vice Chairman Steve Cochran of Christiansburg and Secretary Sandy Roberts of Blacksburg.

Selected among the 70 new delegates are the new district chairmen, who include District A: Jim Glanville of Blacksburg; District B: Sue Bartko of Christiansburg; District C: Joe Miles of Christiansburg; District D: Louise Baker of Bethel; District E: Eva Tawes of Blacksburg; District F: Dean Allen of Blacksburg, and District G: Ken Shaw, Blacksburg.

"It was mostly familiar faces," said West.
