OBIT HUFFMAN, FRANK JR.

HUFFMAN, Frank Jr., 72, of Salem, formerly of Shawsville, passed away Saturday, December 11, 1993 after a battle with cancer. He was retired from Valley Rich Dairy. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Zella Jennings Huffman; daughter and son-in-law, Lorine H. and James Shorter, Salem; one devoted sister, Ruby Cunningham, Roanoke; three other sisters and one brother-in-law, Blanche Firebaugh, Mattie H. and Ed Ripley, all of Roanoke, Sudie Bricky, Catawba; grandson, James A. Shorter and wife, Rose Angell Shorter, Salem; a special brother-in-law, Clarence Jennings; and two special sister-in-laws, Kathleen Jennings and Merle Webb, both of Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 1993 at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Michael Slaughter officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers Frank and his family request contributions to be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 3825 Electric Road, Suite A, Roanoke, Va. 24018. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 12, 1993 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
