Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston is the NAACP's "Entertainer of the Year."

The NAACP Image Award recognizes celebrities for their positive portrayal of blacks, said William Gibson, board chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The announcement came Saturday in advance of the 26th annual Image Awards ceremonies in January. In addition to her career performing on stage and acting in films, Houston's charity work was noted.

Love, and a prenuptial agreement, conquers all.

Donald Trump and Marla Maples announced they will exchange "I do's" on Dec. 20 at The Plaza, owned by the groom.

What was it that persuaded Trump to tie the knot for the second time? Colin Ferguson, accused of killing five people in a rampage on a commuter train. "When I saw what happened on the Long Island Railroad, I figured life is short - and I want to do this now," the millionaire developer said.
