OBIT WILLIAMSON, GEORGE LEWIS
WILLIAMSON, George Lewis, 82, of Route 2, Bedford, died Friday, December
10, 1993 at his residence. He was born in Rockbridge County on July 8, 1911, a
son of the late Elmer Williamson and Mary Watson Williamson. He was the
widower of Mabel Burchette Williamson, a retired employee of Hampton Looms of
Virginia, and was a member of Bedford Christian Church. He is survived by a
son, William E. Williamson, Bedford; a stepson, Rudolph V. Bower, Roanoke; two
brothers, Eugene Williamson, Roanoke, Walter Williamson, Norfolk; two
grandchildren, Natalie Elaine Williamson, Bedford and Mark Allison Williamson,
Fairfax. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, December 14, 1993 at 2
p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth E. Burger officiating. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp
Funeral Home, Bedford.
