BRAZILIAN MILITARY ADMITS POLITICAL KILLINGS

Brazil's military has acknowledged killing as many as 384 people accused of subversion during the 1964-85 military dictatorship, news reports said Monday.

The admission of such killings came in a report submitted to the Ministry of Justice, said Brancolina Ferreira, head of the ministry's human rights council. She could not confirm a death toll figure.
