OBIT-BAUER, THAFIELD

BAUER, Thafield, 74, of Roanoke, died Monday, December 13, 1993. He was a retired purchasing manager at Eaton, Corp. and was a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Catawba Hospital. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WW II. He is survived by his wife, Lorena B. Bauer; two sons, Ronald W. Cundiff, Salem, David K. Bauer, Roanoke; brothers, Alfred Bauer, Eureka, S.D., Ruben Bauer, Artas, S.D., Harold Bauer, Rapid City, S.D., Ben Bauer, Edina, Minn., Leo Bauer, Minneapolis, Minn., Walt Bauer, Valley City, N.D.; sisters, Erna Schick, Eureka, S.D., Mrs. Bernice Orth and Mrs. Dana Bassett, both of Rapid City, S.D.; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, 10 a.m. Thursday, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with burial at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lotz Roanoke Chapel. Living memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Roanoke.
