OBIT-ELLIOTT, HERBERT NORRIS
ELLIOTT, Herbert Norris, 74, of Salem, departed this life Sunday, December
12, 1993. He was a member of Taylor Lodge #23 A.F. & A.M. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Kent and Eunice Elliott; three brothers, Paul Elliott,
Vaughn Elliott, and Roy Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Doris Crowe
Elliott; two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Giles and Dorothy Elliott
of Houston, Texas, Ray and Ruby Elliott of Brunswick, Ga.; four sisters and
brothers-in-law, Virginia Brogan, Allene and Frank Guilliams, Alma Willis, all
of Salem, Vivian and Vernon Likens of Roanoke; also, a host of nieces, nephews
and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the John
M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Jeff Davis
officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Taylor Lodge
will have masonic rites at the graveside. Memorials may be made to the Salem
Rescue Squad.
