KENDALL TO HAVE KNEE SURGERY

Eve Kendall, a 6-1 freshman forward from Wytheville who had started all four games for the Radford University women's team, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on her left knee today and is expected to be out of action until late January.

Kendall, who has torn cartilage in her knee, was averaging 5.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and had a team-high four blocked shots for the 3-1 Highlanders. A standout at George Wythe High School, Kendall was an All-Timesland selection in basketball and volleyball last year.
