OBIT - BURTON, AUDREY MARIE
BURTON, Audrey Marie, 72, of Salem, died Tuesday, December 14, 1993. She
was born in Sugar Grove, Va. She was a daughter of the late James Walker and
Lilly Mae Richardson. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member
of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur M.
Burton. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Carolyn
M. Burton, Charles City; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia L. and Robert
Robertson, Salem; three brothers, Warren O. Richardson, Odenton, Md., James
Richardson and Ronnie Richardson, both of Salem; two sisters, Irene Boone,
Salem, Shelva Long, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, 1993, at the
John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, with Elder W.T. Conner officiating.
Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
