COOK, Judith Diane, 40, of Roanoke, died Monday, December 13, 1993. She was
a licensed practical nurse and patient coordinator with Medi-Home Health
Agency of Roanoke. She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army and a member of
the Virginia Defense Force. Judith was a devoted nurse and had compassion for
all people. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Angela L. and John D.
Herron, Roanoke; son, Jackie L. Flurnoy Jr., Roanoke; sisters, Donna M. Ball,
Roanoke, Karen B. Lee, Fincastle; brothers, William "Bill" Cook, Roanoke,
Bobby J. Ball, Beckley, W.Va., Harvey S. Cook, Charlotte N.C., Freddie L.
Cook, Greensboro, N.C., Freeland Ball III, Roanoke; parents, Freeland and
Margaret Ball, Beckley, W.Va.; grandson, Christopher Lee Herron, Roanoke;
seven nieces; four nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m.
Friday, December 17, 1993, from the chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral
Home, Beckley, W.Va. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley,
W.Va.
