OBIT-CROY, BRADY JUNIOR, (" BLACK JACK")

CROY, Brady Junior, (" Black Jack"), 69, of Salem, died Monday, December 13, 1993, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Q. Croy. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the army. He was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eggleston. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy D. Croy, George and Elaine Croy, Bennett and Nina Croy, all of Salem; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Jeri and Jack Winston, Mary and Gene Meador, Barbara and Calvin Williams, all of Salem, Oveta and Alan Perdue, Carolyn V. Croy and Donnie Underwood, all of Roanoke; two brothers, Garvin Croy, McCoy, J.D. Croy, Burleston, Texas; three sisters, Lyda McCoy, Pauline McCoy, both of McCoy, Mary Elizabeth Lilly, Christiansburg; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, by the Rev. Charles Wells. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
