OBIT WOOLWINE, JACOB J.

WOOLWINE, Jacob J. ("Jake"), 81, of Christiansburg, formerly of Floyd Co., passed away Monday, December 13, 1993, in a Blacksburg nursing home. He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis W. Woods, Pasadena, Md., Kathy W. Hubbard, Christiansburg; 5 grandchildren, Thomas L. Gardner, Roanoke, Gerald R. Gardner, Woodstock, Amanda Hubbard, Joshua Hubbard, Matthew Hubbard, all of Christiansburg; two brothers, James "Ted" Woolwine, Christiansburg, Lewis "Tip" Woolwine, Christiansburg; one sister, Lorraine Akers, Shelby, N.C. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 16, 1993, 11 a.m. at Park United Methodist Church in Christiansburg with the Rev. Raymond Kelly and the Rev. Jim Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Blacksburg. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it was Mr. Woolwine's request that donations be made to Matthew Hubbard, a handicapped grandson. Donations may be mailed to First National Bank, Christiansburg.
