OBIT LAWSON, HATTIE SURFACE

LAWSON, Hattie Surface, 92, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 15, 1993, in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Guy A. Lawson and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She was a retired school teacher with the Roanoke County school system, having taught at Mount Pleasant Elementary School. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lillian S. Neely, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the graveside of Evergreen Burial Park, 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, with Dr. Harold J. Uhl officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
