OBIT STUTLER, ROBERT E. JR.
STUTLER, Robert E. Jr., 64, of Mountain Grove, died Wednesday, December 15,
1993. He was born October 26, 1929, in Charleston, W.Va., the son of late
Robert E. Stutler Sr. and Margie Marble Stutler. He was an agent and staff
manager for Home Beneficial Life Insurance in Roanoke for 18 years. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Army, served in the Korean Conflict, and served as a
Technical Sargeant. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. He
was a member of Cochrans Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife,
Norma Jean Stutler; one son, John E. Stutler, Roanoke; two daughters, Gloria
Landsdown, Elliston, Kathy Thomas, Mountain Grove; two stepdaughters, Linda
Craighead, Salem, Kristi StClair, Roanoke; four sisters, Margie Phillips,
Willis, Barbara Jones, Sissionsville, W.Va., Shirley Hughes, Charleston,
W.Va., Geneva Lacy, Sharon, W.Va.; three brothers, Richard Stutler,
Ravenswood, W.Va., Henry Stutler, Cocoa, Fla., Dallas Stutler, Clay, W.Va. He
was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Freddy Stutler. Services will be
11 a.m. Friday, December 17, at Mountain Grove United Methodist Church, with
the Rev. Joe Collins officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Grove
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Arthur, Thermond Jenkins, Donnie McDaniel,
Ronnie Buzzard, Tommy Phillips, Roger Sage, James Sage, Bobby Stutler. The
family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral
Home, Hot Springs.
