Salem City Council voted Monday to sell the last remaining parcel - 2.1 acres - to Chesapeake X-Ray Corp for $110,150.
Four area businesses will relocated to the 10-acre industrial park: two from Roanoke, one from Roanoke County and one from Salem.
City Manager Randy Smith said council would look for more open land, but there is little left within the city.
"They are getting almost non-existent," Smith said.
Cheseapeake X-Ray will share a 20,000-square-foot building with American Door and Glass, now located on Aerial Way Drive in Roanoke. Both companies are owned by John and Shirley Lamanca of Salem.
Other companies buying land in the park are Air Power Inc., a pneumatic-equipment dealer now located in Salem; Noble-Met Ltd., a metal tubing manufacturer in Roanoke County; and Tele-Path Industries Inc., a phone testing equipment maker in Roanoke.
In other action, City Council:
Appointed Walter R. Franke, a self-employed investor, to another three-year term on the Salem School Board. No one else applied for the position.
Re-zoned land on Keagy Road behind Kroger's for a"courtyard"-style motel.
Approved an updated version of a comprehensive plan, which serves as a general guide to land-use within the city.
