NO INOCULATIONS MEAN MORE WHOOPING COUGH

U.S. children are coming down with whooping cough in huge numbers this year because too many are failing to receive vaccinations on time, federal health officials said Thursday.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported there were 5,457 cases of whooping cough through Dec. 4, the highest number of cases since 1967. Outbreaks have occurred in Chicago and Cincinnati.
