TOY RETAILER DELETES VIOLENT VIDEO GAME

A video game that challenges players to save scantily clad sorority sisters from a gang of hooded killers was pulled from the shelves of Toys `R' Us stores.

Company spokeswoman Carol Fuller said Thursday that the store removed the Sega Genesis game "Night Trap" from its 581 stores after customer complaints about the game's violence.

Fuller said Toys `R' Us will keep selling "Mortal Kombat," a game that has also drawn widespread criticism about its violence. She said she had not received complaints about that game.
