OBIT-PENDLETON, EDWARD LEWIS, ("PEANUT")
PENDLETON, Edward Lewis, ("Peanut"), 74, of Deland, Fla., formerly of
Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 1993. He is survived by two
sisters, Myrian Jane Czarnecki, Myra B. Pendleton, both of Salem; four
brothers, James P. Pendleton, Bernard T. Pendleton, Frank L. Pendleton, all of
Salem, Harold S. Pendleton of Elliston; also his former wife, Naomi Doyle of
Deland, Fla. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Marines in World War II. Graveside
services will be held Saturday, December 18, 1993 at 10 a.m. at Sherwood
Memorial Park with the Rev. A. Howell Franklin officiating. The family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lotz Salem Chapel. In lieu of
flowers donations may be made to the Elliston Volunteer Fire Department.
