Post offices: On Christmas Day and New Year's Day, retail windows will be closed; also, no delivery of residential, business or rural mail. However, special delivery, express mail and perishable items will be delivered. Mail will not be distributed to post office boxes at stations and branches.
STATE State offices: Closed Thursday and Friday of both weeks.
VEC offices: Closed Thursday and Friday of both weeks.
DMV offices: Closed Thursday through Saturday of both weeks. However, offices will be open Monday, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3 to accommodate customers.
ABC offices: Offices closed Thursday through Saturday of both weeks. Stores that normally close at 9 p.m. will close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve; all other stores close at 6 p.m. All stores closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT Roanoke City offices closed Friday of both weeks. Libraries close at 6 p.m. Thursday, closed Friday through Sunday of both weeks.
Roanoke County offices closed Thursday and Friday of both weeks. Libraries close at 5 p.m. Thursday, closed Friday through Sunday of both weeks.
Salem offices close at noon Thursday, closed Friday of both weeks. Libraries close at noon Thursday, closed Friday through Sunday of both weeks.
