OBIT NEWCOMB, BETTY LOU
NEWCOMB, Betty Lou, 64, of Troutville, died Sunday, December 19, 1993 in a
local hospital. She was a member of Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church in
Elliston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Newcomb. Survivors
include a daughter, Patsy Ann VanAllen of Lynchburg; two granddaughters,
Tammie Michelle Edmondson of Roanoke and Windy Danielle Newman of Lynchburg;
her mother, Delphia C. McDaniel, Salem. Funeral services will be held Tuesday,
December 21, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, with
Elder Junior Conner and Elder Lane Carter officiating. Burial will follow in
the Little Hope Cemetery in Elliston. The family will receive friends at the
funeral home on Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m.
