OBIT SCOTT, GERTRUDE

SCOTT, Gertrude, 89, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, December 17, 1993. She was a retired educator with the Roanoke School System where she taught at Lucy Addison High School for many years. She was the widow of Walker Scott. Surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including a devoted cousin, Mrs. Hazel Claytor and a special friend, Mrs. Rebecca Pullins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 1993, 2 p.m. at the Fifth Avenue United Presbyterian Church with the Dr. Vernie Bolden officiating. Burial will be in Williams Memorial Park. Friends may call on the family from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel, Monday. The funeral procession will gather at the home of Mrs. Claytor, 3310 Kershaw Road, N.W. Hamlar-Curtis is in charge of arrangements.
