OBIT WHORLEY, DELOIS L. TAYLOR

WHORLEY, Delois L. Taylor, 46, of Roanoke, passed away Friday December 17, 1993 at the Cancer Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie L. Taylor. She is survived by one son, Anthony Whorley of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Dobbins; six sisters, Alice (Booker T.) King, Meleta (Alphonso) Johnson, Debra (Ronald) Bright, Melissa Taylor, all of Roanoke, Ms. Ava Calloway and Ms. Elizabeth McCadden, Greensboro, N.C.; three brothers, Rudy Taylor, Roanoke, Toney Taylor, Atlanta, Ga., Wayne Taylor, Greensboro, N.C.; one granddaughter, Latasha Whorley, Ft. Bragg, N.C.; a devoted male companion, Ivan Sawyers, Roanoke. The family will meet at the home of her sister, Mrs. Debra Bright, 3712 Norway Ave. N.W. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
