OBIT VAUGHT, KATHERINE HILTON

VAUGHT, Katherine Hilton, 83, of Rt. #1, Rural Retreat, died early Tuesday, December 21, 1993, in the Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Rural Retreat and is survived by her husband, M. Brook Vaught; a daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Douglas Copenhaver of Salem; a sister, Lucille Phillippi of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Karen Stackpole of Salem, Michael Copenhaver of Roanoke; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Stackpole and Kelsey Stackpole. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 1993, from the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family sincerely requests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the Rural Retreat Emergency Services. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home or at the residence at any time. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat is in charge of arrangements.
